I am a highly motivated person. I love digging in and finding solutions to problems, and feeling like I make a contribution. You put a project in front of me and I’m a happy gal. If you need something done, I’ll help you. And if I can’t, I’m going to contact everyone I know until I find someone who can, then follow up with you to make sure you got what you wanted.
I'm fortunate enough to work at Doctors Nova Scotia - an amazing organization that supports the best doctors in Canada. My work is challenging, engaging, and my colleagues are a great bunch of people who represent Physicians in the province and help improve patient care. I get to spend my days doing what I love: nerding out keeping the technology at DNS working, and managing projects that help my colleagues and our physicians do their best work.
In my spare time I’m usually working on something. I am a power user of Excel, and love building tools that integrate software applications with data - particularly with VBA or VBScript. I love keeping myself busy whether for my day job, or on a contract basis identifying process efficiencies and improving analytics for clients on behalf of consulting firms around town. I really enjoy research and report writing, and have a knack for helping people with resumes and prepping for interviews. I know…you’re thinking “who is this girl??” I get that a lot!
I suppose I’ll slow down one of these days, but I figure that won’t be soon. If I’m not busy I’m usually bored and life is way too amazing not to enjoy yourself!
