Per CAP Bylaws, executive committee shall have all the authority of the Board of Governors in the management of the corporation between regular and special meetings of the Board.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Committee will serve as a focal point for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI and ML) related inquiries and activities for the CAP from internal and external sources and to serve as a coordinating and triaging body for internal AI and ML cross-council priorities.

To advance the CAP’s ability to maximize diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to support the visibility and participation of underrepresented pathologists and pathologists-in-training.
To review electronic ballot for the CAP annual election of officers and governors prior to mailing to the members; provide general oversight of the election process; and recommend changes in election procedures to the Board of Governors as needed. The chair shall notify candidates and members of the committee of the election results prior to the Stated Annual Meeting and receive any appeals relating to irregularities in the election process.
To provide guidance to the Board of Governors related to the fiscal well-being of the CAP by reviewing budgets and making recommendations; reviewing the independent auditor's report and management letter; and acting on recommendations from the Investment Committee.
